About The MVT

Show Dates & Opening Times - 8th to 10th June 2018

WAW 2018 is a 3-day event. Friday the 8th is our school education day. Public event days with full activites are Saturday the 9th & Sunday 10th.

The Park opens its gates at 8am and we will announce the arena start time near the show dates.

Is The Show Really Free? - Yes

The show is organised by 2 charities, the MVT and Wicksteed Park so is 100% free.

However, the park does charge carparking, which is £5 per car for the day. Full parking prices are here.

Is The Show Family friendly? - Yes

Wicksteed Park is a family venue with theme parks for children. The MVT encourages educational, historical content at its shows for children.

We will announce warnings during the arena battles as to when you can expect loud bangs.

What Time Should I Arrive?

The park gates open at 8am. We recommend you start to arrive soon after, so you can walk around all the exhibitors before the main arena starts at 11am.

Facilities

The park has several public toilets, food kiosks (hot & cold food), bar, ice cream stands and amusement rides (paid), which can be accessed by the public.

Can I Bring My Dog? - Yes

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times at the show as per the park rules. Read the full rules on dogs at Wicksteed Park here.

Is There disabled Access? - Yes

Wicksteed Park provide disabled carparking and toilets. The show ground is pretty flat and is accessible via electrical motor scooters and wheelchairs. Manual wheelchairs will require assistance.

What Time Are The Flyovers? - TBA on FB

The BBMF who operate the planes generally give us a time slot to expect them, which they can change on the day. We announce on Facebook the expected times.
